Agilent 82357b Usb Gpib Interface Driver Download
I need to use an Agilent 82357A USB/GPIB Interface with NI MAX and I can´t make it happen! I´ve already tried the steps given by other users who faced the same problem but it didn´t work, i.e., I installed Agilent driver as secondary VISA and checked the NiVisatullip.dll option under the Tools > NI - VISA > VISA Options > My System > General Settings > Passports. What is going wrong?
Should I use another version of NI-VISA? Of Agilent driver? It should be such a simple task to do. I called NI with the same problem here is the info they relayed back: Here's the knowledge base I was referring to, entitled 'How Do I See My Agilent 82357A GPIB-USB Interface in MAX/LabVIEW?' Please follow the related links, as they tell you how to enable the HPIB in MAX, then how to interface that in LabVIEW.
Interface for USB to GPIB, IEEE488, HP-IB from Keysight Technologies, formerly Agilent Test and. Keysight 82357B - GPIB-Controller for USB 2.0. Online Price.
Also, the link for the VISA drivers can be found here: (fill out the appropriate fields) Good luck with that, and let us know if you have any other questions! Like I said, it's a workaround (which means it will be more difficult), but it appears to be possible at least. Hi Giovani: First, thanks for sending out those links Mandy. I managed to get my hands on an 82357A here just to test it out.
I installed Agilent I/O Libraries Suite 14.0 (the only one I have) and I have NI-VISA 3.4.1 and MAX 4.0. After enabling the tulip passport I was able to communicate with my instrument. You will not be able to see this interface under devices and interfaces in MAX. In order to communicate in MAX, you will have to go to Tools->NI-VISA->VISA Interactive Control. From here you should see your GPIB interface under the list of resources. Regards, Emilie S. Applications Engineer National Instruments.
Hello, I have a NEFF 470 with an HPIB interface. I'm trying to retrofit with a USB/GPIB adapter. I have an Agilent 82357B and have gone through the steps to enable a side-by-side VISA installation, i.e. Enabling the tulip dll in MAX and 488.2 in The Keysight Connection Expert software. The device shows up in MAX. I have also located a driver listed as plug and play here: All of the commands used in the library, however, are GPIB, and none seem to work -- even simple clear commands.
I have read somewhere that these GPIB commands are incompatible with the Agilent GPIB/USB VISA and that I will need to use an NI adapter. This I can deal with, as long as I know this is the issue, i.e.
Before spending $600 on another adapter. I have also tried using raw serial VISA read/write commands, which seem to work. Tumi ami kacha kachi bengali song.
I am not sure I can translate the entire library (or what I need of it) from GPIB commands to VISA, but if this would work I am also open to that. Thanks, Colin.
